After much waiting and meticulous preparations, our B&B Hosts are happy and relieved to be welcoming guests once more! It’s been a long time…
With the long hot days stretching ahead of us (we can but hope !), it’s a good time to plan a break away. So, continuing with our focus on various destinations around the country for those of you raring to get out there and explore, Derbyshire boasts something for everyone – from the stunning natural beauty of the Peak District (incidentally Britain’s first ever National Park!), to great historical buildings such as Chatsworth House, (believed to be the fictional inspiration for Mr Darcy’s residence in Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice).
For those of you with a head for heights, there’s a cable car ride to the Heights of Abraham poised high above the former spa town of Matlock. There are quaint market towns to explore such as Buxton, Bakewell and Swadlincote with their many unique shops and great places to eat.
So, to plan your trip…we have a great selection of B&Bs…
Glendon Guest House is an award-winning, elegant Victorian Grade II listed B&B, with free parking (EV charging point available) and easy walking distance to the centre of the beautiful market town of Matlock – an ideal base for exploring the Peak District National Park and many of Derbyshire’s fine historic houses and villages.
Enjoy the tranquillity of Shirley Hall Farm , a part-moated 16th century Tudor farmhouse furnished in keeping with its history, situated amidst rolling countryside just on the edge of the Peak District.
Many of our Hosts have been awarded the official ‘We’re Good to Go’
accreditation and you can check details of the stringent protocols in place on their websites.
Our B&Bs are open and look forward to welcoming their guests!
Here’s to making happier memories in 2021!
