October 2024 – A lovely hostess and a very comfortable and pretty cottage. Lovely surroundings and lovely people.
Sept 2024 – Clare is a wonderful host, attentive, nothing is too much trouble. Very comfortable stay in a peaceful setting.
Have just spent two nights at Holly Cottage with my husband and two friends from Canada for the occasion of my son’s wedding nearby. Have to say I could not have chosen a nicer b&b with a nicer host. It was home from home with lovely bedrooms, comfortable beds, lovely location and a great breakfast each morning. Would definitely recommend Holly Cottage and will be staying again when we are in the area.
After sending away for your ‘little green book “ that came rather promptly I must say, we decided to try some of the properties listed. Holly Cottage in Hagworthingham, another fabulous property that was not only very comfortable but had a great deal to offer.
The breakfast was again very plentiful as well as delicious and the room was very spacious. Clare also went above and beyond in acquiring us stays for the rest of our journey.

I have just recently spent three nights at Holly Cottage, which is delightful and set within a lovely garden and beautiful surroundings. Clare is very welcoming, nothing is too much trouble, a perfect hostess! The accommodation is top class and breakfast is very special, with eggs from Clare’s hens, other local produce and preserves lovingly made from local berries. Definitely the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever tasted !
Particularly notable was a luxurious bath with which I indulged myself whilst enjoying the view from the window! As good as a spar treat!
I have no hesitation in recommending Holly Cottage for a truly luxurious, country stay.
Absolutely loved our stay,it’s a quality B&B with lovely touches provided by Clare. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful break!
We’ve just stayed 8 nights with Clare at Holly Cottage and can’t wait to return at the end of August. Clare is an outstanding host who goes over and above to make guests feel so welcome. Nothing is too much trouble for her. Our ensuite room was spacious; beds most comfortable and the view beautiful. Great variety for breakfast, including Clare’s delicious jams, and freshly laid eggs from “the girls”! Holly Cottage with its pretty garden is the perfect place to relax in a stunning location. Walks are right on the doorstep and location is perfect to visit the coast or, in our case, family in Horncastle. Can’t recommend it highly enough!
