As summer fades there’s no denying it, the days are drawing in and before we know it, Autumn is upon us! The time of year that English poet, John Keats, describes as ‘Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness’, it’s the perfect time to put on our walking boots and enjoy the spectacular countryside!

The diverse landscapes of our National Parks are particularly stunning at this time of year. Here in the UK we have no less than 15 National Parks , each boasting their own unique beauty. How fortunate we are that these designated areas have been protected for our enjoyment and that of future generations.

For those bird-watchers amongst us, there’s plenty to see as millions of migrating birds head for UK shores making this their winter holiday destination. We’ve highlighted a selection of Walks this Autumn.

So, as we look forward…think bright chilly mornings, falling leaves, pumpkin decorating, toasty evenings by the fire, hot chocolate…maybe even a cosy getaway…?

Many of our B&Bs also offer the option of self-catering accommodation – a popular choice over recent times. All of the properties are privately owned enabling guests to book direct.
