A large, 18th century farmhouse, EASTERSIDE FARM nestles on Easterside Hill and enjoys panoramic views of the dale. It is a short drive from the market towns of Helmsley and Thirsk, the latter being where the real James Herriot worked. Ideally located for touring the Dales and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, including Goathland (the location for Heartbeat). Eden Camp, North Yorkshire Moors Railway and Castle Howard are just some of the nearby attractions. Scarborough and Whitby are within easy reach. Credit cards accepted. WiFi access.
Nearest town or village: HAWNBY
Directions: From Thirsk take A170 to Helmsley. In Helmsley take B1257 towards Stokesley. Ignore turning for Hawnby and take next left signposted Laskill. Follow the road for 1.5 miles and Easterside Farm is on the left.

Recently stayed at Easterside. Accommodation was great, cannot fault it.
Sarah was very welcoming and breakfasts were lovely. Plenty of choice.
Will definitely try and go back and do more of the walks and surrounds,
Helmsley is lovely. Plenty of eateries. Thoroughly enjoyed our walk from Helmsley to Reivaux Abbey.
We spent five nights at Easterside B&B. Sarah is a welcoming hostess not to mention a terrific cook! Views are breathtaking. We hope to return one day to this beautiful spot in the Dales – highly recommend.
