Once part of an old dairy, the main house dates back to the late 1600s. The corner of the building is now self-contained and has been recently transformed into an extremely cosy holiday home. The front door opens onto the slate floor of the main and only living room. There is an open fire, the furniture is mostly modern but family antiques lend character as does the pretty wallpapered nook where teddies live. The kitchen is all newly kitted out with dishwasher, cooker, microwave and fridge freezer. A washing machine and tumble dryer have been squeezed cleverly into an adjacent lobby. The pretty sheltered shared garden with a small lawn bordered by shrubs, is the perfect spot in which to sip a glass of wine after a day at the beach. Private off road parking is situated immediately opposite the cottage. The new stair case which has replaced the original one that was falling down, leads to two bedrooms: one double, one single. Both have superb views over the valley of farmland below through which runs the River Fal. The old wooden and serious wonky floorboards upstairs are now snugly carpeted and the double glazed windows and roof insulation will keep you cosy and environmentally conscience clear.

Directions: By car the route is easy. If this is your first visit to Cornwall we recommend the A30 from Exeter which is mostly dual carriageway. Leave the A30 at the Ladock exit, by Mc Donalds, and follow signs to Ladock drive through the village and at the end of the road turn right towards Truro. At the Mercedes garage turn left onto the bypass towards St Austell. Follow the bypass up the hill then turn right towards Tregony and St Mawes. Stay on this road until you drive over the bridge into the bottom of Tregony. Lynwood house, where you need to pick the key up from, is the big house opposite the bridge, the entrance is behind the two road bollards. Drive through the low walls into the drive by the Lynwood sign and go through the gate to the back of the house, which is normally left open. Please drive slowly as there are children and dogs. In peak time the junction leading into Lynwood can be busy and crossing the road to enter the drive can be a bit difficult, you may find it easier to drive around the bollards and turn left into the drive. Once you have your key, go back out the drive and turn right up Tregony Hill. About 100 yards up the hill you will see on your right a building with blue pillars, opposite this building there is a turning on your left that drops down and turns back on yourself. Take this road, there are normally quite a few cars parked along this bit , drive past and take the road leading to the right. Frogmore Corner is the first yellow cottage on your right.
