Riverbank Bed and Breakfast is a newly refurbished, licensed bed and breakfast on the banks of the River Irfon in Llanwrtyd Wells, in the heart of Mid Wales and close to the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Each of the rooms is individually styled and furnished, and some have views of the Irfon river – one of which is on the ground floor. There is a licensed bar, lounge and terrace for exclusive use of guests (and their friends or family).
This is a biker friendly bed and breakfast, and there is secure indoor storage for motorbikes and bicycles. There are also two 7.2kW electric vehicle chargers for guests’ use.
Directions: We are located on the A483 halfway between Builth Wells and Llandovery. Llanwrtyd train station is a 5 to 10 minute walk, and is served by the scenic Heart of Wales line which runs between Shrewsbury and Swansea.
Llanwrtyd Wells offers a perfect place to explore the Southern Cambrian mountains either on foot by cycling or by car. Close by are the Brecon Beacons, the beautiful Elan Valley, and Lynn Brianne reservoir. Interesting towns are a short car journey away including Tregaron, Carmarthen, Builth Wells, and the Victorian town Llandrindod Wells. The Ceredigion coast is only an hour away.
Locally in the town, you can visit the Heritage Centre which explores the history of the town and has an art gallery that features local artists. The Dolwen Field on the outskirts of the town is a beautiful place to relax amongst peace and beauty. The Llanwrtyd railway station is on the famous and epic Heart of Wales line. Enjoy a day trip anywhere between Swansea and Shrewsbury.
