We stayed a couple of nights in June 2024. Two nights wasn’t long enough. We have never stayed anywhere as welcoming as this. Lord Colan and Lady Margaret are so friendly, nothing is too much trouble. We needed a room with a fridge for insulin, absolutely not a problem, it was already on and cold when we arrived. We had our old lurcher with us, he was made to feel just as much at home as we were. The breakfast was amazing, we didn’t have an evening meal with them, but wished we had. We will definitely be staying again and will eating at the old station, not in Shrewsbury. It’s only about 10 mins into Shrewsbury town centre, where there is plenty of parking. There’s also a footpath from the b and b down into the local village. The cricket pitch and field are right next to it, so watched a bit of cricket as well. This place is a rare and very welcome find. We are coming back later in the year, not because we’ve got anything to go to, simply because we loved the place, and the owners, and we want to stay again. The Old Station B and B is an absolute must if you’re looking for accommodation near Shrewsbury. You won’t be disappointed
After sending away for your ‘little green book “ that came rather promptly I must say, we decided to try some of the properties listed. The Old Station in Shrewsbury, another excellent property with our hosts making the stay very memorable. We had tea here the first night and both my friend and I enjoyed the delicious produce on offer immensely.
What a super place to stay what a find. Meals, spacious accommodation, friendly owners, and help when one of the quests was ill. Lots of interesting chats
We enjoyed our two-day-stay in a lovingly furnished room of the Old Station in Leaton very much! Lord and Lady Langley-Ingress were very attentive to us and fulfilled all our desires. Lady Langley, an excellent cook, served a delicious dinner. We can highly recommend this accommodation!
We very much enjoyed our 4 nights stay at the Old Station, Leaton, and could not fault the care and attention of Lord and Lady Langley. Our room was delightful, comfortable, clean and every need catered for. The breakfasts were excellent and very filling as were our evening meals. Lady Margaret,an excellent cook, very thoughtfully offering meals of good wholesome home cooking each evening, and the complimentary glass of wine was an added bonus. We appreciate nice surroundings, antiques, and fine china and the ambience of “The Old Station” offered this in abundance. Lord Colan and Lady Margaret were excellent hosts and we hope to return again.
