John and Barbara look after you in a lovely old mill-owner’s house built in the 1700s. It is surrounded by lovely extensive gardens and woodlands, and is situated just below the West Pennine hills. Traditional bedrooms have pale colours, flowery fabrics and patterned walls. Breakfast is served in a large Georgian dining room overlooking the garden. Situated in easy reach of Rivington and Anglezark’s Country Park and reservoirs, ideal for walking and cycling. Also a good stop-over on your way to the Lake District or Scotland.
