Finally…with the Government’s roadmap out of lockdown in place, we can dare to hope…and start looking forward (with cautious optimism!) to making plans. Our B&B Hosts can’t wait to open their doors once more and do what they do best…looking after their guests, always with the safety of visitors an utmost priority.

As the country slowly opens up, Wales is looking forward to welcoming visitors back when it is safe to do so, celebrating 2021 as ‘The Year of Outdoors’, so why not discover all that this unique and beautiful land has to offer! From stunning coastlines to mountain splendour, the breath-taking scenery of Wales will not disappoint. Spoilt for choice, Wales boasts three National Parks:- Snowdonia National Park – rugged peaks and steep river valleys, encompassing Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales and England, the Brecon Beacons National Park – a spectacular landscape dominated by the Black Mountains and the Great Forest and last, but by no means least, The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park – Britain’s only truly coastal national park.

Having felt inspired by our ‘lockdown’ reading and as we look forward to restrictions easing around the country, we thought it might be a great idea to explore the British Isles following in the footsteps of our Literary Heroes! We’ve highlighted a selection of beloved authors and where in the country they were famously linked to…not forgetting of course some superb B&Bs in their vicinity!

Here’s to making happier memories in 2021!
