Stay-cations have gained in popularity over the last few years as more and more people are abandoning foreign travel to look instead to holiday at home in the UK. Whilst it’s easy to cite the negative reasoning behind this changing trend, with increasing costs and the growing issue of safety concerns playing their part, we are focusing on why it’s an excellent idea to ‘stay-cation’, as it’s all too easy to forget the amazing places we have on our own shores!

As autumn approaches heralding its own unique beauty, why not seize the opportunity to take a break in this fine country, whether it be a cultural city break, the peace and tranquility of a rural escape, delving into the past to explore our great historic heritage or the need to be beside the sea, there really is so much on offer. Whilst there is the convenience of  ‘four wheel’ travel, it’s worthwhile considering other options available such as rail, with its extensive network linking cities and remote countryside. We have a new ‘Collection’ of accommodation  ‘Near public transport’ .    All in all, journeying to your destination within the UK should be within easy reach, another advantage to ‘stay-cate’!

So with its breathtaking scenery and incredible heritage, this land of dramatic contrasts and beauty is just waiting to be explored….
