Officially launched in 2012, the Wales Coast Path reaches its 10th anniversary this year and with a calendar of events set to mark this milestone, it’s a great opportunity to discover the 870 miles of coastal path.

Did you know…? Wales is the only country in the world with a continuous signposted path spanning its entire coastline! It runs from Chepstow in the south to the English border near Chester in the north and links along the way with the Offa’s Dyke Path National Trail making this a truly unique experience.

The coastline is diverse, from stunning cliff top views and unspoilt beaches to picturesque villages and bustling towns, connecting many well-known and historic coastal trails such as Anglesey, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire. There are 16 ancient castles built either on or close to the coastline and 3,000 historic shipwrecks within just 2 kilometres of the Welsh coast.

Not only popular with walkers, lengths of the path also run alongside some of the National Cycle Network, as well as sections being wheel-chair and pushchair friendly. For more information follow the link to Easy Access Walks.

There’s a fantastic and varied range of themed itineraries to assist visitors looking to come and experience the path, including Family friendly, Mindfulness walks, Wow walks and Multi day itineries.

Enjoy the Wales Coast Path!
