Staying in a B&B When you make a booking you will be asked to give your expected arrival time. If you are delayed please telephone and advise your host or, if you haven't paid in advance, THEY MAY RE-LET THE ROOM! To save any disappointment we recommend you plan ahead and do not leave it too late to book, particularly in the notoriously popular and busy months of July and August, and also for Bank Holiday weekend.  See Travel Tips for Bank Holiday dates. You can use the contact details provided on their web page to: Telephone or Use the ‘Contact Host’ tab which produces an enquiry form which is submitted to the owner by email with the details of your request Some have an Availability Calendar and often provide a Booking System. For those that do have this we provide a ‘button’ on their web page which provides this information You will always obtain the best price by contacting the owner direct.

B&B -  the prices shown are PER ROOM PER NIGHT for bookings made direct with the hosts and are based on two people sharing a double or twin room (and a single room, if available) per night. The rates include all taxes and, unless otherwise stated, full cooked breakfast. Much of the accommodation listed on the website has gained accreditation through professional organisations, such as the AA or VisitBritain. Star ratings are awarded based on the quality of facilities, services and hospitality provided. We do not insist they pay to obtain this from these organisations. Our website offers you the opportunity to stay in a B&B or chose a self-catering cottage. Each offering something unique – please read the description to get the “feel of it”. Some may be peacefully situated in the countryside, others may be convenient for town centres, some may be more suited to families, others offer facilities for the less mobile, and some offer superior accommodation for staying ‘somewhere special’.

We are a small company and the owners have experience of providing B&B and self-Catering accommodation. As well as this website we also publish an annual accommodation brochure, known widely as The Little Green Book. This was first published more 30 years ago, followed by the website ten years later.
